For those who want to dive deeper into how the distillery works, there are three paid guided options: the Rural Tour, the Caipirinha Tour — both for general visitors — and the Educational Tour, exclusive to schools and universities.

Tour Rural
A Sanhaçu integra a Rota do Turismo Rural do Estado de Pernambuco e está localizada em Chã Grande, na serra pernambucana, a cerca de 15 km de Gravatá e 85 km de Recife.
A visita guiada é um passeio técnico e educativo, com duração aproximada de 1 hora, que apresenta de forma clara e acessível as etapas do processo produtivo da Sanhaçu. Durante o tour, o visitante conhece as áreas de produção, o armazenamento das cachaças e as ações de preservação ambiental desenvolvidas na propriedade. No alambique, há também uma introdução à degustação das cachaças.

Cachaça + Caipirinha
Caipirinha Tour
The Caipirinha Tour is a guided experience lasting about 1 hour, presenting in a clear and accessible way the stages of producing cachaça, rapadura, raw cane sugar and sugarcane molasses. During the tour, visitors discover the stills, the ageing cellars and the agroforestry on the property, as well as the environmental practices adopted by Sanhaçu.
At the end of the tour, the experience continues with a hands-on caipirinha class — the most famous Brazilian cocktail in the world. After all, how many times have you had a bad caipirinha? During the workshop, visitors learn techniques and secrets for making a great caipirinha, mix their own drink right there and enjoy the experience sipping the caipirinha they made themselves.

For schools and universities
Educational Tour
Engenho Sanhaçu welcomes groups from schools and universities, from elementary level to graduate programs. Students of Business, Food Engineering, Environmental Management, Gastronomy, Tourism, Occupational Safety and other fields get to see classroom content in practice.
The educational tour is customized to the age group, the subject and the objectives set by the teacher and the students, and may cover production processes, entrepreneurship, logistics, management, sustainability and environmental education.
Lasting roughly 1h20, the visit walks through every facility — cachaça, rapadura and sugarcane molasses — for a hands-on, integrated experience.
Tastings take place only with the teacher's authorization, even when students are over 18. The tour also includes a regional snack with fresh sugarcane juice and local treats.
Educational visits must be booked in advance.
Full immersion
Sanhaçu VIP Tour
If you want the full Sanhaçu experience, this is it.
The VIP Tour is a guided immersion of about 2 hours that combines knowledge, tasting and hands-on practice — light, engaging and unforgettable.
You take part in a guided, food-paired tasting with special labels like the award-winning Soleira, and sample two cachaças straight from the cask — a rare chance to meet the spirit at its purest.
And there's more: you learn how to make your own caipirinha in an exclusive workshop — and enjoy every sip afterwards.
